Exoskeleton

Exoskeleton is a sculptural embroidered bag that reimagines wearable design as a platform for conceptual investigation. Inspired by the protective outer shells of barnacles, the piece transforms a functional object into a richly textured, highly detailed artefact. Using goldwork and tambour embroidery, beads, sequins, and repurposed zips, I have created a visual and tactile language that examines the tension between interior and exterior, resilience and vulnerability.
